B. Recommendation that the Board of Fire Commissioners accept a technical correction to the ratification of Fiscal Year 18/19 reimbursements from the Washoe County, Nevada Other Post-Employment Benefits (OPEB) Trust Fund to Truckee Meadows Fire Protection District for the cost of retiree health insurance premiums in the amount of $216,388. On July 16, 2019, the Board ratified this reimbursement request, which was mistakenly described as Fiscal Year “19/20”; this item constitutes a correction of that ratification to clarify that the reimbursement requests are for Fiscal year 18/19, not 19/20. This Trust was established to provide a funding source for current and future retiree health costs; monies transferred from this trust will be placed into the District’s general fund.
