D. Recommendation to approve an interlocal agreement between Truckee Meadows Fire Protection District, Sierra County, California, and the Sierra County Fire Protection District No. 1, to provide fire suppression and Emergency Medical Service, excluding paramedic transport/ambulance services, in certain areas as outlined in the maps attached to the agreement. If approved, the agreement will be effective for three years, from July 1, 2025, to June 30, 2028, with an automatic renewal provision for an additional three years. This agreement is intended to reimburse or cover Truckee Meadows Fire Protection District for the costs it incurs in providing services to communities in Sierra County, California, in the areas of Verdi and Long Valley. Under this agreement, Sierra County will pay Truckee Meadows Fire Protection District $49,440 for FY26; $50,428 for FY27; and $51,437 for FY28, with a 3% cost increase each following year unless the parties negotiate an updated cost.
