Title: Discussion and possible action to amend the Washoe County Deferred Compensation 401(a) and 457(b) Plan Documents, to include: (1) amending the 401(a) Plan Document to allow in-service transfers to a defined benefit plan, such as the Nevada Public Employees' Retirement System (NVPERS), for the purchase of service credit; (2) amending the definition of "Employee" in the 457(b) Plan Document to modify eligibility for participation; (3) amending the definition of "Benefitable Compensation" in the 457(b) Plan Document to permit eligible contributions from accrued but unused vacation leave payouts, longevity (career incentive) payments, and other eligible leave payouts received while actively employed; and (4) authorizing engagement of legal counsel, if necessary, to prepare the required Plan amendments.
