Title: Introduction and first reading of an ordinance amending Washoe County Code (WCC) Chapter 125 (Enforcement; Remedies; Penalties) to: Enhance the enforcement capability of Washoe County Code Enforcement officials by eliminating the 50% discount for payment of fines after the third penalty notice; charge a re-inspection fee for repetitive unfounded complaints after the third such complaint; authorize automatic and continuing fines for failing to obey an Administrative Hearing Office Order after all required due process has been provided; clarify collection procedures; allow notice to be posted on a property in a conspicuous location in addition to the front door of a residence; clarify that discretionary approvals may be withheld on properties with unresolved code violations; and to remove incorrect citations and language inconsistent with state law, and unclear hearing decision language. The amendments also resolve discrepancies arising within existing Washoe County Code chapters as a result of the new code language; and all matters necessarily connected therewith and pertaining thereto.
