Recommendation to approve a construction change order for the Pleasant Valley Interceptor Reach 3 Project [in the amount of $1,158,641.55], increasing the Guaranteed Maximum Price 1 (GMP 1) contract amount by more than 5% to [a total of $7,697,515.50], for the substitution of 12-inch coated welded steel pipe and the installation of an 18-inch fiberglass reinforced sewer pipe. Due to a greater installation depth and specific ground conditions, the work requires deeper bore pits, specialized shoring, and polymer manhole structures between stations 10+50 and 17+76. Additionally, the revised scope incorporates the installation of 740 feet of 12-inch coated welded steel pipe and 18- inch FRP pipeline due to changes in subsurface conditions associated with higher ground temperatures.
