Recommendation that the Board of County Commissioners re-adopt the 2025 Washoe County Regional Hazard Mitigation Plan due to requested revisions from the Federal Emergency Management Agency. The Regional Hazard Mitigation Plan is created under the authority of the Stafford Act, as updated by the Disaster Mitigation Act of 2000 and federal regulations (44 CFR § 201), which require communities to identify local hazards, assess risks, and develop strategies to reduce the impact of disasters. If adopted authorize the County Commission Chairman to execute a Resolution to promulgate the plan. Manager. (All Commission Districts.) FOR POSSIBLE ACTION
