1) Nicette Drive - Otuafi Drive
An application to rename Nicette Drive to Otuafi Drive was received by the Washoe County Community Services Department. The street is located within the Unincorporated Washoe County near Antelope Valley. The road traverses in an east-west direction and begins just west of Serpentine Road. Four parcels (three of which are owned by the Applicant) will be affected by the name change. The Applicant is requesting the change to recognize their family. They stated they are building a family compound off the road.
Washoe County GIS performed due diligence by checking the proposed street name against the Master Street Directory for any existing, duplicate, or similar-sounding street names for the purpose of emergency management. The proposed street name is unique, but it has been noted that it could be unclear how to pronounce. The name has been accepted into the Street Reservation List.
