Title: Recommendation to adopt Resolution TM09-2025 adopting the 2025 Washoe County Regional Hazard Mitigation Plan. The Federal Emergency Management Agency requires that each jurisdiction adopt a Multi-Hazard Mitigation Plan on a 5-year cycle. An updated plan was produced with experts from the various public safety disciplines throughout the County as well as private businesses and citizens. Participating partner agencies include the following: City of Sparks, City of Reno, Reno-Sparks Indian Colony, Pyramid Lake Paiute Tribe, Truckee River Flood Management Project, North Lake Tahoe Fire Protection District, and Truckee Meadows Fire Protection District. Adoption of this plan is necessary to enable the Truckee Meadows Fire Protection District to receive Federal Emergency Management Agency Hazard Mitigation grant funds. (All commission Districts) FOR POSSIBLE ACTION
