Introduction and first reading of an ordinance amending Washoe County Code Chapter 55 (Animals and Fowl) to comply with Nevada Assembly Bill 418 (2025) by adding a section requiring a training course on handling pets, renewed every two years, for owners and operators of kennels, animal rescue organizations that handle pets, and commercial establishments engaged in the business of handling pets; and all matters necessarily connected therewith and pertaining thereto.
If supported, set the public hearing for the second reading and possible adoption of the ordinance for November 17, 2026. Regional Animal Services. (All Commission Districts.) FOR POSSIBLE ACTION
