Recommendation to approve a 2027 Nevada State Emergency Response Commission, United We Stand grant for [$32,000.00, no County match required]. The grant is intended to improve state and local government planning, training, and response capabilities to react to Acts of Terrorism. Grant term is retroactive from July 1, 2026, through June 30, 2027. If approved, authorize the Local Emergency Planning Committee Chair to execute grant documents and authorize the County Manager or her designee, to sign the Washoe County Sub-Grant Agreements pursuant to NRS 244.1505 between Washoe County and (i)Reno Fire Department, in the amount of [$9,943.54] for forty-eight (48) Level3A Ballistic Helmets; (ii) Reno Police Department, in the amount of [$5,900.00] for one (1) M3-PP Level 3++ Ballistic Shield; and (iii) the Sparks Police Department, in the amount of [$6,408.46] for two (2) BlueRidge Armor Shields; approve Resolution necessary for same; and direct Finance to make the necessary budget amendmen...
